email from pn rita...

Syed.

Please forward this to all ALM9 PMC - if you could.

1. Google Penang Medical College or Go to www.pmc.edu.my
2. Get Admissions
3. Select Application Forms
4. Download i. Application form
ii. Confidential Statement (Do this when you come back)
ask any of your INTEC lecturers to become your referee.
Do not tell them, ask if they would like to be.
THE REFEREE WILL PASS THE FORM TO ME, NOT RETURNED
TO YOU.
iii. Medical Report
Do this at government hospital/pusat kesihatan or private hospital.
DO blood test for Hepatitis B.
If you are not immune, can start taking the first injection.
Since form is downloaded & no envelope, ask for envelope
from hospital.

5. Submission - submit to me when you come back.
do not worry about passport if you do not have it yet.
Go to a bank and buy a BANK DRAFT, payable to
Penang Medical College Sdn Bhd.
The amount is RM400.00 if you are in Penang but RM400.50 if
you are outside Penang.

havent met you yet by micheal buble

I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
I've Broken My Heart So Many Times,
I Stop Keeping Track.
Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up
And Then I Let Myself Down.

I Tried So Very Hard Not To Loose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility

And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

Mmmmm ....

I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Timing
And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility

Mmmmm ......

And Somehow I Know That It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

They Say All's Fair
And In Love And War
But I Won't Need To Fight It
We'll Get It Right
And We'll Be United

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility

Mmmm .....

And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out
And I'll Work To Work It Out
Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get
Than I Get Than I Get Than I Get

Oh You Know It'll All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet

I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Oh Promise You Kid
To Give So Much More Than I Get

I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

calculation

These are some that u guys need to calculate in your report.

Species frequency

-measure of the probability of finding a given species in any quadrat. Value in terms of %.

- just the measure whether the organism is presence or absence

Eq. if 10 quadrats are studied, species x is found only in quadrats 3,7, and 9:

% frequency= 3/10 x 100 = 30%

Species density

-number of individual of a given species in a given area

-provide accurate and absolute measure of abundance but a bit of time consuming. (we did this)

-usually express as average number of individual persquare metre.

Eq.

Quadrat ( 1m² )

Density of species P = 12+18+0+2+22+15+3+5+13+0

10 x 1m²

= 10plant/m²

Species cover

-% of the ground covered by a species within the area of sampled. It is a useful way of estimating the relative contribution of the diff species in a community, especially when it is difficult to count individual plants.

% cover = total base cover/ arial cover of species in all quadrat x 100

Area of 1 quadrat x total number of quadrat

*we don’t calculate this. And u must be able to explain why. (find it on ur own)

Relative density, relative cover, relative frequency

Relative density = density of particular species / total density of all species x 100%

Relative cover = cover of particular species / total cover of all species x 100%

Relative frequency = frequency of particular species / total frequency of all species x 100%

*the unit for humidity is gram per cubic meter air ( gmˉ³ of air )

* hope u can do ur report ok… if anything about the report then text me a message… but not to the extend of how to do it… hehe tq…

TABLE. TABLE OF QUADRAT NUMBER

* NAMING OF THE SPECIES IS NOT NECESSARY AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO NAME THEM WITH A, B, C, AND SO ON…

*FROM HERE IT IS DIFFICULT IF WE WANT TO CALCULATE THE SPECIES COVER. SO MY SUGGESTION IS U GUYS CALCULATE ONLY THE SPECIES DIVERSITY (USING ABUNDANCE TABLE, WE ARE NOT USING QUADRAT FOR THIS BECAUSE FOREST CONSIST OF LARGE TREES WHICH WILL BE DIFFICULT TO RELY ON QUADRAT), SPECIES FREQUENCY AND SPECIES DENSITY (USING QUADRAT TABLE). U ALSO WILL BE EXPECTED TO CALCULATE RELATIVE DENSITY AND RELATIVE FREQUENCY. U ALSO WILL BE EXPECTED TO EXPLAIN WHY IT IS HARD TO CALCULATE THE SPECIES COVER IN THE AREA THAT WE CHOOSE. OK.

*DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE A FEW PICTURES IN THE REPORT TO SHOW THAT IT IS A HIGH ABUNDANCE SPECIES AREA.

* IN YOUR REPORT IT IS UP TO YOU ON HOW TO ORGANISE UR REPORT. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO DO ONE BY ONE ACTIVITY ( MEANING DESCRIBE PROCEDURE AND RESULT TOGETHER FOR THE ACTIVITIES ONE BY ONE) OR SPLIT THE PROCEDURE, RESULT, AND DISCUSSION FOR EACH ACTIVITIES ( MEANING WRITE ALL THE PROCEDURE FOR EACH ACTIVITY FIRST, THEN THE RESULT FOR EACH ACTIVITY, THEN DISCUSSION FOR EACH ACTIVITY).
